You are the Air I Breathe
the breath of God lives in me
This morning Holy Spirit woke me with a song. The words and the melody played in my heart and mind. “You are the air I breathe.” Although when I looked up the song it was “This is the air I breathe” but the melody was the same as what was playing in my mind.
Why would he place this song on my heart? What was he trying to tell me?
As I studied the lyrics, wondering if he desired to remind me that his holy presence is living in me or that his Word is my daily bread.
As I watched a video the words rang out, “I am desperate for you. I am lost without you.”
I did not realize that the day’s events would confirm the words of the song. Where can you turn when you are drowning in your emotions? To whom can you go when memories of the past pierce through your heart as a spear? To Jehovah.
Without God, I’m lost. Without him, I have no hope. The Lord knew what was coming so he gave me a song, which spoke all I needed to know before the events of the day unfolded. He was with me and his Word would keep me.
If you are in a place where you are desperate look to God. He is able to keep you, he will strengthen you, and he will surely encourage you.

Such a nice song, and you’re so right God is our strength and refuge in times of trouble, even emotional.
